Mashue, La Unión Township
This is a rural locality in La Unión Township, on the southwestern border of the Los Ríos region, on the northern bank of the Bueno River, at the beginning of this section of the Coastal Mountain Range. Historically, the population has been engaged in forestry, farming, and livestock practices, primarily on small family farms, located on the plains of a network of micro-watersheds.

Liquiñe, Panguipulli Township
It is a town in the Panguipulli Township, located 68 km east of the capital of the municipality and 12 km from the border with Argentina at the Carirriñe Pass in the Los Ríos region. Traditionally, this area has been dedicated to the timber industry, primarily linked to the Neltume sector. Recently, this activity has declined to make way to other productive activities such as forestry and agricultural productive activities as well as tourist, handicraft-related and local trade activities.

Chepu and Huellelhue fishing cove

Chepu, Chiloé Island
The locality of Chepu, located in the Ancud Township on Chiloé Island, is known for its unique natural environment and the fishing cove located in the area. Fishermen in Chepu participates in the managing of Management and Exploitation Areas of Benthic Resources (AMERB), in an effort to preserve marine biodiversity and ensure the sustainability of artisanal fishing.

Caleta Huellelhue
Caleta Huellelhue is a rural locality located on the banks of the Huellelhue River in the Río Negro Township and is part of the Lafken Mapu Lahual ACMU (Aquatic and Biodiversity Management Unit). At the river mouth, there is a bar that provides ecological and hydrological conditions for the development of a natural bank of the Choro mussel (Choromytilus chorus). In recent years, this species has been subject to a conservation ban. The project seeks to define a governance, monitoring, and surveillance system to support the strengthening of a community management plan that will allow for the certification of best practices in the area.
